How to Make Your Own Blog Successful WITHOUT Worrying about Backlinks

BlogIf you want to save yourself some time and still have a successful blog without worrying about backlinking then you need to read this! When you target the right keywords, write often and produce quality content then you don’t have to worry about getting backlinks yourself. I believe in these methods so much that I’m NOT going to get a single backlink for this post myself! By the end of this article you will be ready to make your own blog a success!

Target the Right Keywords

It can be a hassle to write a bunch of blogs and not get any traffic. And most people will tell you that in order to get traffic you need to get a bunch of backlinks to your blog. But it’s also a hassle to have to keep getting more and more backlinks, especially if you want backlinks for every post. BUT you can save yourself a little time and stop worrying about getting the backlinks yourself by following these three steps.

First you need to pick out a target keyword for your blog. And as always it needs to be a highly searched for keyword, that doesn’t have a lot of competition and is used often on your page. So go to Google’s keyword tool and find a keyword that people search for often each and every month. Make sure it’s a keyword that a lot of people aren’t targeting. And then make sure to put it in your title, in bold text, in header tags and in your body text every 30 to 50 words.

This is going to help you pop up in the search results without really having much advertising at all. In fact, I have a WordPress blog where all I really did was target a niche keyword using the steps above and I was on the first page of Google within a week or so. It wouldn’t have been a big deal BUT I hadn’t even started getting backlinks for it yet! So by targeting these kinds of keywords you raise the chances of showing up in search engines with minimal, if any at all, backlinks!

Write Often

Have you ever heard of the Google Sandbox? Well this is where your site is put sometimes as a sort of test. Google wants to see if new sites and pages are really going to be taken care of, so they sometimes drop you from the search results or drop you in ranking. If they see that you post new content, get comments and the traffic keeps coming in then you’ll be put right back where you use to be. It doesn’t happen all the time but it’s obvious that Google wants to see constantly updated pages, so keep this in mind when you make your own blog.

Because what good is a website that has content on it from when the internet was created? You need to stay up to date with what’s going on in the world, what works, what people are into and so on. To Google, a site that updates often, is a healthy site that is maintained by someone who is serious about blogging and isn’t just some spammer. You’ll often find that your new blog posts make it into the search engine results very quickly for this reason; you’re on Google’s good side!

But your readers will also love the fresh content! It gives them a reason to come back and read about new, updated information. And when your readers are happy and you’re writing about things they want to read about then they’ll tell you in the form of a comment. And these comments are actually a form of fresh content too! So if you can get discussions going on in the comment section then that specific blog post will always be updated with new information, which will keep it ranking high.

Get Your Readers to Promote You

Blog BuddyAnd when your readers are happy they’re going to take care of a job that most writers really don’t enjoy doing. That’s right, they’re going to get backlinks for you for free! Why would they do that? Because they liked what you wrote about and they want to share it with someone else. They don’t think of it as giving you a backlink and they’re not going to ask for you to link to their site in exchange.

I mean, have you ever posted a link on one of your sites or sent someone a link in an email or over an instant messenger? Well, why’d you do that? You thought it was pretty awesome and wanted to share! So, when you’re writing, you have to keep that in mind. Is your new blog post the same old thing or are you writing about something that someone can’t read elsewhere? Are you coming off as boring or are you entertaining?

When you write in an entertaining way about topics people want to read about that are packed with new information then people just have to share it with others! They will click the “like” button, they will link to it in their blogs, they will email it to other people, they will submit it to social bookmarking sites and people on there will click the “like” button and above all else, THEY will do the backlinking for you!

These are proven steps to make your own blog successful without having to worry about how many backlinks you have. So target the right kind of keywords, write often and write about things people want to read about without being boring. Now you’ll have a little more time to relax and possibly write a new blog post!
